Kingsford Community School was official opened in September 2000.

Kingsford is a thriving comprehensive school with a strong reputation for providing the highest quality educational opportunities in an inclusive student environment. We have a local and national reputation for our innovative teaching, international links and teaching of Mandarin. Whilst we uphold traditional values, academic achievement and standards of behaviour, we are an innovative school responding to the changing needs of our students and the demands of higher education and employers.

We are extremely proud of our Specialist Language College status and being a leading edge partnership school. We aim to be at the leading edge of developments in teaching and learning. Our Specialist status will allow us to continue to expand our language curriculum and our links with the local and international community.

We expect all our students to contribute to the wider life of the school and community and students are valued for their individuality and the enormous creative potential they have. I am proud to lead a team of highly professional and dedicated staff who support the development of all students both academically and socially.
