Art and Design is an opportunity for pupils to develop their own personal sense of style, judgment and creativity through a series of different projects using different mediums.

GCSE Dance is about looking at different styles of dance and concentrates on technique, performance skills and choreographic skills. We use the AQA specification.

Drama at Kingsford Community School is taught across year 7, and 8 and as an option subject in years 9,10,11. Throughout their study of Drama students learn about the history of theatre and drama as well as learning the essential skill base for GCSE drama through their exploration of various text and stimuli.

At GCSE we follow the OCR Syllabus which consists of 4 Areas of Study covering a wide range of music from different genres and traditions. These are:-

Spotlight on My Instrument — pupils develop an understanding of the range and repertoire of their chosen instrument through independent research and instrumental practise.

Within PE we offer 12 different sports throughout the year groups at KS3, organised in both girls and boys groups. Within PE we cover Basketball, Netball, Football, Rubgy, Fitness, Badminton, Volleyball, Dance, Gymnastics, Rounders, Cricket, Tennis, Athletics and Hockey skills at KS3.
