Geography is the study of the earth and the people in it. Geography develops knowledge of places and environments throughout the world, an understanding of maps, and a range of investigative and problem solving skills both inside and outside the classroom. At Kingsford we aim to provide a national curriculum course that is both stimulating and rewarding.

History is not just about the past but it is also about how the past is linked to the present and future.

Religious Education is taught as a separate subject area to all pupils in Key Stage 3. At Key Stage 4 all pupils are taught the short course GCSE in Philosophy & Ethics.

Sociology is the study of society and things which shape the way we think and behave.
